Uriprep URS-2K urine strips are for the semi-quantitative detection of Glucose and Ketone. These test strips provide accuracy, quick results, and ease of use.

- Performance Characteristics:
- Glucose: The kidney normally excretes small amounts of glucose. Concentrations of as little as 100mg/dl glucose, read either at 10-30seconds may be significantly abnormal if found consistently. This test is based on the reaction of acetoacetic acid with sodium nitroprusside in a strongly basic medium. The colors range from beige or buff-pink color for a “Negative” reading to pink and pink-purple for a “Positive” reading.
- Result interpretation time: The optimal reading time of each test parameter varies from30 to 60 seconds.
